Transparent Waterproof Ceramic Coating TC-C3033
This is a self-curing ceramic coating solution that provides protection and excellent waterproof performance based on special inorganic polymer technology. TC-C3033 forms a cross-linked protective layer at room temperature (or can be cured at higher temperatures for faster results). The coating has excellent hydrophobicity, reversible surface properties, and strong adhesion to substrates, making it highly resistant to water penetration.
Transparent Waterproof Ceramic Coating TC-C3033-Description
Introduction
This is a self-curing ceramic coating solution that provides protection and excellent waterproof performance based on special inorganic polymer technology. TC-C3033 forms a cross-linked protective layer at room temperature (or can be cured at higher temperatures for faster results). The coating has excellent hydrophobicity, reversible surface properties, and strong adhesion to substrates, making it highly resistant to water penetration.
Physical Properties
- Appearance: Clear, colorless or light-colored liquid
- Solvent: EA and PMA mixed solvent
- Solid Content: 45%
Key Features
- Hydrophobicity
- Anti-fouling
- Easy cleaning
- Corrosion resistance
- Aging resistance
- High-temperature resistance
- Waterproofing
Application Fields
- Outdoor electrical components
- Traffic signs
- Waterproof protection of metal surfaces
How to Use
- Ensure the surface is clean and dry. If necessary, slightly roughen the surface and remove any grease or contaminants. Use a 0.5-3 mm nozzle at a pressure of 1-3 bar for spray application. Recommended film thickness is 15-30 μm, with a maximum thickness of 40 μm.
- Curing Conditions:
- At room temperature: Dries to the touch in 1-3 hours (faster with ventilation).
- At 80°C: Cures in 2 hours.
- At 130-180°C: Cures in 0.5-1 hour.
- The coated surface should be left to cure in a ventilated area for 5-7 days before use.
- For substrates like stainless steel and galvanized steel, curing at ≥80°C is recommended. Higher curing temperatures improve the coating’s final performance.
Application Scope
Suitable for metals, glass, ceramics, and stone surfaces. Can be used with organic solvents such as PMA, ethyl acetate, IPA, TMA, MIBK, and secondary butyl acetate.
If stored for a long time, slight sedimentation may occur, and the coating should be shaken well before use. It is recommended to dilute 5-10% before application. Strong acids or alkalis should not be used for surface cleaning before application.
The coating is compatible with most varnishes and paints, but additional adhesion promoters or primers may be required in high-humidity environments. During the curing period, avoid exposing the coated surface to water or solvents.
Storage
- Store in a well-ventilated, dry place, away from heat and flames.
- Shelf life: 6 months in a sealed container.
- If already opened, ensure the product is well-sealed. If sedimentation occurs, shake well before use.
Packaging
Available in 1kg, 5kg, 25kg packages. For special packaging requirements, contact us for customization.
Safety Precautions
- The product is non-flammable but may release irritating vapors. Use in a well-ventilated area.
- The product may cause skin irritation. Avoid direct skin or eye contact. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
- Wear protective gloves during application.
- Ensure the coating is fully cured before handling coated objects.
